Growing up Geek.

I have taken notice recently that a fair number of this generation of children, my son included, are growing up surrounded by “geek culture” as a result of their parents. This is something that is a lot more common place that it was, say, 23 years ago in 1991. (Please take note that the contents of this post are my personal opinions and experiences growing up)

Playing Catch-up: “Metro:2033”

Right now a new console is out of my reach financially, and that’s fine, I’d rather wait before jumping on the next gen bandwagon anyway. It’s given me a chance to catch up on any games I’ve missed over the last few years.

I confess; I obsess.

Obsessions are synonymous with geek culture; it’s what defines us as such.

Adventures in Cosplay – update 2

Leggings! ok, I need to paint the lines on them but I did have to re-hem them. They were high waisted, and I’m too short. Also, a big roll of orange foam arrived so I can make the suspenders, may have to post a tutorial for that 🙂

I plan on going to the MCM London comic con in May, and seeing as I feel rather uncomfortable at such large events as myself, I will be in costume.
